Dimmet is a 70s styled, 2 bedroomed, beach bungalow based on the outskirts of the village of Braunton, in North Devon. Within walking distance of the village and its amenities and an easy 5 minute drive from the iconic beach at Saunton Sands, Dimmet is well-placed to provide your relaxing family holiday.
Holiday home layout
Dimmet has two bedrooms, a large kitchen and lounge and newly-fitted bathroom with bath and shower over. We have a mains gas boiler providing central heating and water, as well as a log burner in the lounge. We also have a garage – convenient for storage of bikes, wetsuits, surf boards and the like. The garden is enclosed and South facing and you can hear the sound of the sea whilst sitting eating lunch on the patio.
Kitchen
A roomy modern kitchen with a Rangemaster cooker (gas hob, electric ovens), large fridge/freezer, washer (tumble-drier in garage) and dishwasher. Fully equipped with all cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils – you will find everything you need to cook your gourmet delights whilst on holiday. Kettle, coffee machine and toaster are also provided for those essential drinks and snacks. The kitchen table seats 6 comfortably.
Lounge
The lounge is a large room with the log burner central to the room – decorated in 1970’s style, we have comfy seating for 6 and bean bags and cushions. We have a large smart TV and DVD player, so why not search up programmes from the 70s like To The Manor Born, The Good Life, The Professionals, Tales of the Unexpected for a real nostalgic touch, We also have some games and books to ensure that you can play games with the rest of the family whilst on holiday. One of the sofas can be used a single bed for an extra guest if required (bookable by arrangement)
Main Bedroom
The main bedroom is at the back of the bungalow and faces the rear garden. Furnished with a genuine 1970s bedstead and 1970s vintage wallpaper, it really is a step back in time, but your sleep experience is bang up to date with a kingsize luxury mattresses made by Naturalmat in Devon. Both the bedrooms have built in cupboards and draw space. This bedroom also has a TV on the wall. Wardrobes and chest of drawers provide plenty of space for those holiday clothes.
Second Bedroom
The second bedroom is located at the front of the bungalow and has two single beds, which can be zipped and linked to form a superking double (please request at the time of booking). Again, feature vintage wallpaper and a built in cupboard mean that you will have plenty of storage for your holiday wardrobe.
Bathroom
The bathroom is located at the end of the central hall and has a newly fitted Roca suite and a bath with shower over. We provide your bathroom towels but please bring your beach towels with you.
Outside
The garden was planted by Andrew’s Granny and has a number of interesting plants and a lovely lawn for playing games on. There is a patio directly behind the house with garden furniture.
Garage
We have a single garage which houses the tumble-drier and you are welcome to use it to store your belongings whilst you are staying with us – surf boards, bikes, games will all be safely stored until you need them.
Parking
We are on a quiet road so you can park outside Dimmet on the road, or we have private parking on the drive in front of the garage.
